First Lift Up to Last Lift Down (60cm x 20cm)
First Lift Up to Last Lift Down is an acrylic painting inspired by my time in Colorado; specifically Winter Park where I ski trained and raced in 2022. The painting depicts fellow skiers and snowboarders - and even a visually impaired couple in the front right-hand corner!
Acrylic paint on stretched canvas and this piece comes framed in a silver frame.
60cm x 20cm (64cm x 24cm x 3.5cm framed).
A certificate of authenticity is included.
The Cornucopia Collection
Cornucopia - 'an abundant supply of good things of a specified kind'
The Cornucopia Collection evolved over the summer of 2022 and worships the beauty - and steadfastness - of the mountains. Inspired by Winter Park in the Rockies plus the epic Mont Blanc and Matterhorn in the Alps where we ski trained and raced this past season, I'm delighted to bring the mountains to you.
Mountains have been a place of recuperation and recovery both for myself and for others spanning centuries. I celebrate and worship these epic peaks in the way I know how - in paint - to bring that sense of healing and beauty to you. In recent months and years, it feels like that calmness and steadfastness is rare to find, and therefore so much more sought after.
All paintings are made with quality materials, such as intense French Ultramarine, the gorgeous Cobalt Blue and the soothing Paynes Gray Winsor and Newton oil paints.

WHY THE MOUNTAIN OBSESSION?
For me they are the ultimate. The ultimate strength; the ultimate height; the ultimate power. When standing on top of them, they give a sense of perspective that’s hard to find anywhere else in the world. When skiing down then I get a thrill and sense of shared joy and fun that I don’t get anywhere else in the world. And when I’m at the bottom looking up, they give such a solid sense of reassurance. I’m the happiest I ever am in the world.
And I want to share this. I want to share the benefits of the mountings with more and more people. I tried to capture those feelings and express them through my paint. I want to give you something different; something fun and something joyful.
All proceeds from my art go to funding our disabled ski racing career.
